China National Immigration Administration Further Adjusts Policies of Foreigners’ Visas and Entry
In order to better coordinate COVID-19 prevention and control with economic and social development, and to facilitate personnel exchanges between China and other countries, National Immigration Administration decides to adjust policies of foreigners’ visas and entry from 0:00 on March 15, 2023.
- The Chinese visa that was issued before March 28, 2020 and remains valid will be reactivated.
- The relevant visa-issuing authority stationed abroad will resume examining and issuing various types of Chinese visas.
- The port visa office will resume examining and issuing various types of port visas.
- The nucleic acid detection and centralized isolation after arriving at Shanghai ports were cancelled. New visitors to Shanghai only need to present a 48-hour nucleic acid negative report before departure.
Onsite Prevention and Control Measures
- The organizer will do regular disinfection for public area of the venue 3 times a day.
- All onsite participants are required to complete identity verification, take temperature check and wear masks.
- Temporary observation points will be set up. If any abnormal body temperature is found, the person will be transferred to the observation point for a second temperature measurement. If necessary, isolation and medical treatment will be arranged in time.
- The main entrances of the venue will be equipped with hand sanitizer.
